GE will use supercomputing to help design jet engine fuel injectors

GE researchers will utilize the help of Sierra, a supercomputer at The Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, to speed the development of next-generation fuel injectors for GE’s jet engine fleet. The supercomputer will give a 360 degree view of the inside of the injector to better understand the physics behind the designs.
